About

Winning Consortium Simandou (WCS) is an international consortium developing Blocks 1 and 2 of Guinea's Simandou iron ore deposit — the world's largest untapped high-grade reserve. Led by Singapore's Winning International Group alongside China Hongqiao, China Baowu Steel, and UMS, WCS has begun exporting ore via the newly built 650 km Trans-Guinean Railway and Morebaya Deepwater Port. Targeting over 10 million tonnes in 2026 and up to 80 Mtpa at full scale, WCS's high-purity ore (65%+ iron) supports global steel decarbonization. Headquartered in Conakry, the consortium operates in close alignment with the Guinean government.
