Individuals of Guinean nationality may be authorised by order of the Minister in charge of Mines on the recommendation of the BNE to engage, within the framework of a professional activity, in the purchase and sale throughout the national territory, of gold, diamonds and other precious materials derived from an artisanal operation. These are:
For gold:
- Scalemen;
- Masters; and
- Collectors.
For diamonds:
- Brokers;
- Commission agents; and
- Collectors.
The terms relating to the organization, sub-functions, rights and obligations associated with these functions are specified in an implementing regulation of this Code.
