The holder of a Mining Title or Authorisation and companies working on its behalf are subject to the provisions of the Insurance Code in the Republic of Guinea. The coverage of risks inherent in all its activities in Guinea is mandatory and must be done with an authorized company in the Republic of Guinea.
At the end of each fiscal year a joint mission of the BCRG and the Ministries in charge of Mines and Finance will review the insurance contracts taken out by mining companies.
Any breaches discovered by the mission are subject to sanctions under the insurance regulations.
