Ball Mill

A rotating cylindrical grinding vessel charged with steel or ceramic balls used to reduce ore particles to fine sizes suitable for downstream processing. As the mill rotates, the balls cascade and grind ore through impact and abrasion. Ball mills are critical in gold, iron ore, and bauxite beneficiation circuits for liberating valuable minerals from gangue material. Mill efficiency is influenced by ball size, charge volume, rotation speed, ore hardness, and feed particle size.
