Batch Sampling

A sampling methodology where representative subsamples are collected from defined batches or lots of material during mining, processing, or shipment. Batch sampling ensures each consignment can be characterised for grade, quality, and physical properties before further processing or sale. In bauxite, iron ore, and gold mining, batch sampling underpins quality control, contractual compliance, and reconciliation programs, ensuring that material supplied to customers meets specification and accurately represents the mined resource.
