Gold and diamond operations rely on moisture analysis to optimize crushing, screening, and gravity separation circuits, since wet material behaves differently in classification equipment. Common analytical methods include oven drying at a standardized temperature (typically 105°C) until a constant weight is achieved, microwave drying for rapid results, and infrared moisture balances for continuous process monitoring.
